Outlook Contacts Address Book

The Address Book is much like the Contacts list. To get to the Address Book press and hold the Control and Shift keys and hit the letter b. A box will pop up. You will be in a "Search" edit box where you can type a name, or down arrow through a list names. Tab over one time and you will hear "Go." Tab again and you will be in a combo box titled "Address Book." Use your up and or down arrow keys to select the type of Contact list you want. Tab again and you will hear "Advanced Find." Tab again and you will hear a radio button that says "Name Only." Tab again and you will hear an unmarked radio button that says "More Columns." Tab again and you will be back to the original "Search" edit box. When you find a name in the list of addresses, hit the Enter key one time and the Contact form for that person will come up. You can Tab through the form to get information, or even make changes to the form. If you are only reading, hit the Escape key when you are finished. If you change any information, remember to press Alt s to save and close the form. Do the following activity to explore the "Address Book." When you are finished move to the link at the bottom of the page titled "BACK" to go to the "Outlook Lessons" web page.

1. Open Outlook.

2. Press and hold down the Control and Shift keys and hit the letter b

3. Release the keys and the Address Book will pop up. Tab your way through the Address Book, experimenting with different items.

4. Bring up a person in the Address Book.

5. Tab through the Contact form for the person.

6. Hit the Escape key one time and the form will close and you will be back in the Address Book.

7. Hit the Escape key again and the Address Book will close.

8. Practice the above steps until you are quick and accurate.
